iPhone, cash taken in Brewerytown home invasion

An armed man stole a cell phone and cash during a home-invasion robbery in Brewerytown Saturday morning.

Police said the unknown suspect, who was brandishing a gun, broke in through the front door of the home on the 2800 block of Cecil B. Moore Avenue around 5:15 a.m.

Once inside, he assaulted a male occupant before making away with an iPhone and $1,500 in cash, according to investigators.

The unidentified victim was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital, where he was placed in stable condition.

A suspect had not been identified Saturday afternoon, and no arrest had yet been made.
