Two men are wanted for a sudden, vicious attack on a downtown street in Philadelphia last weekend, police said Monday.

Two men are wanted for a sudden, vicious attack on a downtown street in Philadelphia last weekend, police said Monday.

Detectives have released surveillance footage from cameras on 12th Street that show the men wanted for questioning in a fight that left one person with "bleeding on the brain." The attack occurred at about 2:40 a.m., Dec. 27, police said.

The video shows a group of three men and two women moments after a brief encounter with another group. Police identified the victims as two men, 23 and 34 years old, who were walking north on 12th Street. They had just passed Chestnut Street when the initial encounter occurred.

Two of the three men accompanying the two women are seen in the surveillance footage turning around and heading back toward the victims. Then, another camera shows the attack.

"During the altercation, one of the victims was knocked unconscious for several minutes, and he suffered from bleeding on his brain," police said in the video.

The suspects then left the area, walking west on Chestnut Street from 12th Street, police said. One suspect is described as a man of Middle Eastern or Indian descent in his 20s, six feet to six feet two inches tall, about 280 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes, and a beard and mustache. He wore a black jacket with a gold zipper and dark black jeans. The other suspects is described as a white man in his 20s, five feet six inches to five feet eight inches, light brown hair in a long pony tail who wore a black leather jacket with multiple zippers and blue jeans.

Anyone with information about the suspects is asked to contact Central Detectives at (215)686-3093.
