Two critically wounded in Fairhill shooting

Two men were seriously injured during a shooting in the city's Fairhill section Monday, police said.

Two men were seriously injured during a shooting in the city's Fairhill section Monday, police said.

The shooting happened shortly after 5:30 p.m. on Palethorp Street near Cumberland. Police said a 25-year-old man was shot twice in the right side by an unknown male, and a 37-year-old man was struck once in the pelvic area.

The first victim was taken to Temple University Hospital and listed in serious condition. The second victim was taken by private vehicle to Episcopal Hospital and listed in critical condition.

No arrests have been made.
