Truck hits overpass, loses load in Tacony

A truck struck an overpass in the Tacony section this morning, losing its load and blocking the roadway.

The incident happened when the truck drove under train tracks on the 4900 block of Princeton Avenue shortly before 7 a.m., said Officer Christine O'Brien, a Philadelphia police spokeswoman.

A photograph from the NBC Philadelpha chopper shows a large steel tank in the middle of the street. The tank was still in the process of being removed as of about 9 a.m.

No injuries were reported.
