Seven people have been arrested in connection with a fight Friday night in Northeast Philadelphia that ended with three teens being stabbed.

Police said the violence broke out shortly before 10:30 p.m. on the 7500 block of Rowland Avenue in Holmesburg.

Police responded to multiple calls reporting a large fight on the street and a person with a weapon. Arriving officers found three males, aged 17, 18 and 19, lying on the street. All of them had been stabbed in the back multiple times and were hospitalized in stable condition.

Witnesses told police that a group of eight to nine white males and one white female were walking on the on the opposite side of the street when an unknown person threw a glass bottle, striking one of the victims in the back of the head.

The parties exchanged words and a physical fight erupted, according to investigators. After the stabbings, the suspects allegedly fled on Rowland Street toward Rhawn Street.

As officers surveyed the area with a witness, looking for the suspects, they said they were able to obtain the address of one of the alleged offenders. Police responded to the home, located on the 3400 block of Lansing Street, and the homeowner let them inside. Officers then told the male suspect to come downstairs and took him into custody.

That suspect told police his friends were upstairs. Additional units responded and took five more males into custody, police said. All of the teens were taken outside, where multiple witnesses allegedly identified them as suspects.

Officers stopped a seventh male on the 3400 block of Shelmire Street. He was also arrested after multiple witnesses identified him as an alleged offender, according to investigators.

Those arrested are: David Cramp, 19, of Bristol; Hellena Andro, 20, of the 1500 block of London Road in Somerton; John Farrell, 18, of the 3400 block of Ryan Avenue in Mayfair; Ryan Palen, 18, of the 8300 block of Torresdale Avenue, and three 17-year-old males, whose identities have not been released because they are juveniles.

One of the 17-year-old suspects was taken to Aria Health Frankford for a minor abrasion to his left hand, police said.

All seven suspects will be charged with three counts each of aggravated assault, simple assault, possession of an instrument of crime, recklessly endangering another person and conspiracy.
