A 20-year-old man is in stable condition at the Albert Einstein Medical Center after being shot in his shoulder near a playground behind the Lawncrest Recreation Center Monday afternoon.

A 20-year-old man is in stable condition at the Albert Einstein Medical Center after being shot in his shoulder near a playground behind the Lawncrest Recreation Center Monday afternoon.

Shots were fired on Hasbrook Avenue near Benner Street around 2:55 p.m., and two men jumped in an older white car and fled the scene, police said.

It was unclear what kind of vehicle the suspects fled in, and police said there were no witnesses. A description of the suspects and information on the shooter’s motive was not immediately available.

No arrests were made.
