Cops: Teen shot eight times in Kensington

A 17-year-old is in critical condition after being shot eight times on the front steps of a Kensington home.

A 17-year-old is in critical condition after being shot eight times on the front steps of a Kensington home.

Police said someone opened fire shortly before 5:30 p.m. on the 3200 block of Potter Street, striking the teen in the neck, chest, abdomen, shoulder and back.

He was rushed to Temple University Hospital.

The suspects are believed to be three or four men who were riding in a white Mercedes Benz with tinted windows, according to preliminary police information.

Investigators didn't disclose a possible motive for the crime Thursday night, and no arrests have been made.
