Man dead, girlfriend arrested in Crescentville stabbing

A woman was arrested for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend inside a home on the 5300 block of Tabor Avenue in the Crescentville section of Northeast Philadelphia.

A 46-year-old woman was arrested Saturday night for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend in the Crescentville section of Northeast Philadelphia. The victim later died of his injuries.

The woman was arguing with her beau inside a home on the 5300 block of Tabor Avenue around 10:15 p.m., when the dispute became physical, police said.

She allegedly stabbed the 44-year-old man once in the chest. He was rushed to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he was initially listed in critical condition before he was pronounced dead around 6:45 a.m. Sunday.

The girlfriend was taken into custody without incident, police said. Her identity wasn't immediately disclosed, and there was no word on what charges she would face.
