Philly.com announces weather coverage partnership with NBC10

Philly.com launched a partnership today with the NBC10 First Alert Weather Team to provide readers with daily forecasts by meteorologists Glenn "Hurricane" Schwartz, Sheena Parveen, Bill Henley and Brittney Shipp.

The team brings decades of experience covering Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware weather to Philly.com's weather page. The page will continue to feature current conditions, a seven-day forecast, and clickable weather map for users to pinpoint conditions in their neighborhoods. Inquirer weather columnist Tony Wood's weekly "Weather of Not" column will also enhance the page.

In addition, the NBC10 meteorologists will keep readers informed with online posts when significant weather events, watches, warnings, alerts and closings arise.

"We're excited to be teaming up with the meteorologists of NBC10 to bring Philly.com users the weather information they need to make plans and stay safe," said Philly.com Executive Editor Mike Topel.

"Expanding NBC10 First Alert Weather to Philly.com is really about serving the most people in the largest venues," said Anzio Williams, vice president of news at NBC 10 and Telemundo 62.

Philly.com had a previous agreement with meteorologist John Bolaris. You can read his final column here.
