Pedestrian killed in Washington Township crash


A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a car in Washington Township on Tuesday evening.

Washington Township police said a man was struck by a Dodge Charger when he was crossing Black Horse Pike near College Drive shortly after 5:20 p.m.

The pedestrian was taken to Kennedy Memorial Hospital, where he died. Authorities said his identity is still being verified.

The driver of the Charger, 31-year-old Shayla Nesbitt of Turnersville, remained at the scene. She was not injured, police said.
