POSTED: Sunday, August 19, 2012, 6:58 PM

Rep. Paul Ryan, the Republican vice-presidential candidate, is scheduled to headline a rally on Tuesday afternoon in West Chester, Pa., before attending a Center City fundraiser, according to GOP officials.

Ryan will speak at the American Helicopter Museum & Education Center at 3:30 p.m. The Delaware Valley has a long history with rotary-wing aircraft, and several helicopter manufacturers have facilities in the area.

Doors to the museum, at 1220 American Blvd., are scheduled to open at 1:30 p.m. People interested in attending are asked to RSVP for tickets at www.mittromney.com/states/pennsylvania.

Earlier Tuesday, Ryan is scheduled to visit a family-owned steel plant in Carnegie, Pa., outside Pittsburgh.

You Libs who only watch MSNBC and read the Daily Kos are IDIOTS!!!
Do you recall Obama telling Matt Lauer 3 years ago if "the economy isn't fixed within 3 years, then I'll be a 1 term President"? I guess you forgot that.

The Obama statement is NULL AND VOID. What he didn't say nor realize was that he would have a Republican Congress who would obstruct every attempt to fix the economy. Even reject proposals that Republicans wanted.

Name calling: the lowest form of debate. Completely meaningless. The economy is fixed. The recession is over. There's not even a debate on that fact. Look at the numbers. Romney's policies are identical to Bush's. Bush's policies created the Great Recession. We were losing 800,000 jobs a month AND had massive deficits. The criticism is about the pace of the recovery. Republicans have cut spending at the Federal level and state's controlled by Republicans have made massive spending cuts. That's the primary reason the recovery has slowed after a fast start. That's reality.

There's a legitimate argument to be made as to whether the economy has improved enough to warrant another four years of Obama. But you are incorrect as it relates to the Obama interview with Matt Lauer. His discussion with Lauer centered on TARP and not the economy. The commercial addressed in the PolitiFact review below also notes that the commercial conflates deficits and national debt. Unfortunately, this type of playing fast and loose with the facts is something both parties pursue. There's a reason they call this the Silly Season.

Just to be clear, here is the transcript from The Today show of the interview Obama had with Lauer in 2009:

PRESIDENT OBAMA: Yeah, well — I — I don't wanna preempt an announcement next week. And there's a lot of technical aspects to it. And if I — say — that we're doing one thing. then the markets might interpret it differently from what it ends up being. But the basic principle that we're gonna have to see some of this debt written down, that the government is gonna have to support some banks, that others that are not — not viable, essentially that we're gonna have to — do something with those assets,

MATT LAUER: At some point will you say, "Wait a minute, we've spent this amount of money. We're not seeing the results. We've got to change course dramatically?"

PRESIDENT OBAMA: Look, I'm at the start of my administration. One nice thing about — the situation I find myself in is that I will be held accountable. You know, I've got four years. And —

MATT LAUER: You're gonna know quickly how people feel —

    PRESIDENT OBAMA: — and — and —

MATT LAUER: — about what —

PRESIDENT OBAMA: that's exactly right. And — and, you know, a year from now I think people — are gonna see that — we're starting to make some progress. But there's still gonna be some pain out there. If I don't have this done in three years, then there's gonna be a one-term proposition.

Jan 2009- US lost 800,000 jobs
Jan 2012- US gained 250,000 jobs

    Jan 2009- Dow Jones 6,500
    Jan 2009- Dow Jones 13,000

Unemployment before Obama policy took effect in June 2009- 12 %
Unemployment after Obama policy took place in June 2012- 8%

Bush depression can't be fixed in 4 years. Hoover depression lasted for 12 years. No more Republican induced depressions!

POTUS does not have anything to do with pushing up gas prices.

But Koch Brothers do have influence to push up gas prices. It has happened before every election when Democration were trying re-election or continuation of the presidency in recent years.

Ryan stays in safe West Goshen Twp., not West Chester, as he is afraid of the 'hood'.
