No classes at Penn Wood High School after fire

There are no classes at Penn Wood High School in Delaware County today after a fire broke out at the school overnight.

Fire crews were called to the school, located at 100 Green Avenue in Lansdowne, at about 3:45 a.m., according to Delaware County dispatchers.

The William Penn School District says there was a "major fire" at the school and the Green Avenue campus, which houses 11th- and 12th-grade students, will be closed today and Friday.

Instructors should report to the Cyprus Street campus, which serves 9th- and 10th-graders, the school district said.

No details about the extent of damage to the school or any injuries was available.

Dispatchers had no information about the cause of the blaze. 6ABC reported that investigators believe the fire was intentionally set.
