Fire tore through a salon and three other businesses on a block in the Kingsessing neighborhood in Southwest Philadelphia overnight.
The blaze broke out on the 6000 block of Woodland Avenue shortly before 12:30 a.m., according to fire dispatch.
It was not clear how the fire first started, but it appeared to have been ignited in a hair salon, which was in an end unit facing a vacant lot. The fire quickly spread through the second floor to neighboring businesses, including a nail salon and cell phone business. Another store was also impacted.
Fire broke through the roof in two of the buildings.
No injuries were reported. The fire was declared under conrol at 2:11 a.m.
