Philadelphia police have released surveillance footage of the armed men who attacked a man in a wheelchair during a North Philadelphia home invasion earlier this month.

Police said men, one armed with a silver handgun, knocked on the door of a home on the 2300 block of North 13th Street in the Hartranft section and forced their way inside. 

The assailants hit the 39-year-old victim in the head with the gun, flipped the man's wheelchair, and punched and kicked him while he was on the ground, police said.

The man gave the suspects $30 that was in his pocket.

The attackers fled through a bedroom window after becoming startled by a knock on the door, authorities said.

Surveillance photos and video released this morning of the June 10 incident show the men running west on York Street, then south on Park Avenue and east on Dauphin Street.

One suspect is described as black, 25 to 30 years old and 6 feet tall with a thin build. He was wearing a dark-colored t-shirt and pants at the time of the incident. The other is descrbed as black, 25 to 30 years old, 5 feet 6 inches tall and having a thin build. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a dark-colored polo jacket, dark blue jeans and light-colored sneakers.
