A funeral Mass will be held tomorrow in northern New Jersey for University of Pennsylvania student Madison Holleran, who died in Center City on Friday.

Holleran, 19, of Allendale, will have a private burial. Funeral Mass will be noon at Guardian Angel Church, 320 Franklin Turnpike in her Bergen County hometown, according to The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home in Maplewood, N.J., which is handling the arrangements.

Her family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, 120 Wall St., New York, N.Y. 10005.

The UPenn freshman was a member of the university's varsity track and field team after starring as a runner and soccer player at North Highlands High School.

Over the weekend, the school canceled formal recruitment for sororities in the wake of the student's death and rearranged some of its planned track-and-field competitions.
