Feltonville shooting leaves one man dead, one critical

A shooting on the 4200 block of Macalester Street in the Feltonville section of North Philadelphia left one man dead and a second in critical condition.

One man is dead and a second hospitalized in critical condition after a shooting in the Feltonville section of North Philadelphia.

A radio call reporting a person with a gun drew officers to the 4200 block of Macalester Street shortly after 4:30 a.m. Saturday, police said.

There, they found a 34-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to Temple University Hospital, where he died about 10 minutes later.

His identity was not released, pending notification of his family members.

The second victim, a 24-year-old man who was shot under his left arm, was placed in critical condition at Temple, police said.

There wasn't word on a suspect or motive, and no arrest was reported.
