FBI searching for Northeast bank bandit in black Phillies cap

The FBI is searching for a man who was wearing a black Phillies cap when he allegedly held up a bank Sunday morning in Northeast Philadelphia.

The bandit, who also sported a gray goatee and tattoos on both sides of his face, entered the TD Bank at 6635 Frankford Ave about 11:20 a.m. and handed a teller a demand note, an FBI spokeswoman said.  He fled after obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is considered armed and dangerous. He is described as about 45-years-old and about 5-foot-10. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt over a blue shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 215-418-4000. Tipsters may remain anonymous.
