An Egg Harbor Township, Atlantic County, woman attempted to burn down her own house early this morning, and her 12-year-old daughter was still inside, police said.

According to police, crews were dispatched to fire at a residence on Windwood Drive at about 12:30 a.m. today.  Once at the scene, firefighters from the Cardiff and Bartaintown fire companies were able to help those in the home to safety without injury and douse the flames.

Investigators say they discovered that the homeowner, Amy Ochetto, 43, started the fire by spreading an unspecified flammable liquid. Her 12-year-old daughter was inside at the time, as was Yeser Bekte, 41, of Galloway Township.

Ochetto was charged with aggravated arson, aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a child.  She was held at the Atlantic County jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail.
