It's so bad, people in Camden say, "At least we don't live in Philly". LouDiamondPhillipsheadScrewdriver
Homicide rate is so high in Philly; I wonder how much time on average detectives spend on each case before closing it? Or how many of 300 something homicides this years were solved by our fine police department? If you have a web site I would love to see it. Nitroglycerin
Horrible. Just horrible. TopCat#1
Philadelphia like other large metropolises , have become experiments of the likes of "Pavlov's Dog" and the "Problem- Reaction-Solution" experiments!Crime pays because it's control out of chaos, and those in control reap the benefits of the ensuing chaos! It's simple, more crime, higher budgets for the Criminal Justice System which includes more prisons and fewer schools! JimiJaco- Certainly is a racket going on. Schools wouldn't help on this isssue, though.

Just my opinion, I don't remember times being this bad in Philly when Rizzo was in office. STOP letting the inmates dictate the asylum, get rid of that fat turd of a commissioner and stop worrying about being caught on film. Crack their stinkin' coconuts open and maybe they'll wise up!!!!!!!!!!!! It's always in the same areas...maybe there is a trend there????????

This paper no longer identifies the suspects race because it's not politically correct to say they're looking for a "young black man". The police commissioner commented recently, that is all he hears when is listens his scanner. farley
Warm weather JamesIgnatius- Nutter is in China probably telling them how civilized we are.
Philadelphia is 42% African American, not a majority. Per the Center for Disease Control the leading cause of death for young black males across three different age groups is homicide. A staggering statistic. dontavoidtheobvious
Philadelphia has 309 murders, not 306, according to PPD's website.
