Bloody tarps, sheets found inside Strawberry Mansion house

A grisly find of bloody tarps inside a Strawberry Mansion house late Wednesday night has detectives trying to figure out where the blood trail leads.

Officers found sheets and a trash bag full of tarps with blood on them inside a home on the 2100 block of North 32nd Street in the North Philadelphia neighborhood, according to a preliminary police report, which also noted "an apparent dead body" was inside sometime Sunday.

But neither a body nor a suspect was inside the house when officers found all the evidence shortly before midnight Wednesday, according to the report.

Police spokeswomen did not respond to a request for more details.
