Gallery: 3-story building mural falls onto Chinatown street

City inspectors have been called in to investigate how a 3-story high ceramic mural depicting a tree fell from the side of an apartment building in Chinatown.

No injuries were reported in the facade collapse about 4:30 a.m. at 9th and Race Streets, but firefighters briefly evacuated the building as a precaution.

Officials from the city Department of Licenses and Inspection are investigating.
