Philadelphia police are searching for two men who they said robbed seven people at gunpoint in a West Philadelphia hair salon Saturday night.

Officers got a radio call shortly after 10 p.m. and went to the VIP Headquarters Hair Salon on the 5300 block of Market Street. Six men and a 17-year-old girl said two men with guns and face masks entered the salon. A third man, who was unarmed, also walked in with the two but ran out when the robbery began.

The robbers took items including a watch, cash and at least four cell phones. One victim also said they took his handgun, for which he has a permit to carry.

The men fled on foot, and fired several shots when the victims tried to see which direction they were going, police said. No one was injured.

The men are described as black men in their early 20s. They were 5-foot-6 inches to 5-foot-9 inches tall, with thin to medium builds. They were last seen wearing dark clothing, police said. - Allison Steele
