Police are searching for a man responsible for at least three gunpoint robberies in Old City's Society Hill neighborhood last weekend.

The spree began about 9 p.m. Saturday when an unknown man approached four men who were walking north on the 300 block of South 5th Street, pulled out a handgun and demanded money. Two of the victims handed over $80 and the bandit fled north on 5th Street. One of the victims saw the gunman get into a black SUV at 5th and Pine. No one was injured, police said.

At 9:25 p.m., a couple was walking south on the same 300 block of 5th Street when they were approached by the gunman. The bandit demanded the victims' belongings, took unspecified items and then fled south on 5th Street, police said. No one was injured.

Fifteen minutes later, the bandit struck again. A 50-year-old man and his 55-year-old wife were walking at Front and Dock Streets when the gunman approached and demanded money. After taking $65 from the couple, the gunman fled on Front Street toward Chestnut Street, police said. No one was injured.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 20-years-old, 6-foot-1 and with a thin build. He was clean shaven and wore a light gray hooded sweatshirt with the hood up. He was also wearing a black ball cap, jeans and black sneakers, police said.

Investigators described the gunman's vehicle as a dark-colored SUV/Crossover, possibly a mid-2000s Infinity FX35. It appeared to have New Jersey plates.
