19-year-old shot, killed in East Germantown

A 19-year-old man was shot and killed Saturday night in the East Germantown section of the city, Philadelphia Police said.

The man was shot once in the chest at 6:38 p.m. on the 300 block of East Wister Street, police said.

Officers took the man to Einstein Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 6:58 p.m.

No weapon was recovered at the scene, and no arrest was immediately made, police said.
