A man described by officials as a stock trader has been charged with murder after he allegedly stabbed his 70-year-old father to death in Gloucester County on Memorial Day.

Authorities said 34-year-old Joseph I. Zambuto stabbed his father, also named Joseph, with a Rambo 3 knife during an argument Monday afternoon at the younger Zambuto's home on Meade Court in Williamstown.

The Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office did not say what sparked the argument.

The father lived with his wife next door to the son, who owned both homes, according to prosecutors.

Prosecutors said a medical examiner determined that the elder Zambuto died from a knife wound to his chest, and ruled the death a homicide.

His son is facing charges that include murder and weapons offenses, and was being held on $1 million bail.
