Tire-slasher again a suspect

A man on probation for slashing tires in Mayfair in 2012 has been arrested for more of the same in a different part of Northeast Philadelphia, police said.

Shortly before 6 a.m. Wednesday, SEPTA police got a report from a SEPTA employee that while he was sitting in his vehicle at the corner of 1600 Creston Street, he saw a man bending down near one of his vehicle's tires.

Another SEPTA employee in his parked vehicle on the same block saw the man place an object near the other car's tire and then walk into a house on the block.

The first man found a glue mousetrap with numerous nails attached to the glue side.

An investigation led to David Toledo, 46, who lives on the block, Philadelphia police said. Toledo was arrested at his home and the investigation is continuing. In February, he was found guilty of 15 of 60 counts of criminal mischief and related offenses.
