Police eye father and daughter in Queen Village shooting

Philadelphia Police have prepared arrest warrants for a father and daughter suspected in the shooting and beating of a man in Queen Village last weekend, according to a law enforcement source.

Philadelphia Police have prepared arrest warrants for a father and daughter suspected in the shooting and beating of a man in Queen Village last weekend, according to a law enforcement source.

Earlier this week, police released video of the incident on the 100 block of Carpenter Street. The video shows a woman crouching into a batting stance and swinging a baseball bat at the victim. A man shoots him in the leg as he attempts to flee.

The victim, a 36-year-old homeless man, told police the woman said "You know what you did, you son of a . . .," before swinging the bat.

A law enforcement source said the pair believed the victim may have been breaking into cars.

On Thursday afternoon, investigators served a search warrant on a house on the 900 block of S. Front Street and recovered two handguns, a law enforcement source said. Video recovered from the home's security cameras shows one of its residents and his daughter leaving the house and later reentering - wearing similar clothing to that of the suspects seen on the video, the source said.

The arrest warrants are being reviewed by the District Attorney's Office, the source said.
