Council meeting to go on the road

NEWTOWN SQUARE Delaware County officials will hold their Oct. 1 meeting in Newtown Square.

The regular daytime council meeting held at the government center in Media will give way to the 6 p.m. event at the Township Building at 209 Bishop Hollow Rd., officials announced.

The event is one of a series of meetings designed to encourage residents to become more involved in county government. This night meeting will mark the 15th time since 2009 council has taken its show on the road. Officials hope to hold one meting in each of the county's 49 municipalities.
