Person killed by train at Croydon station


A person was struck an killed Monday afternoon by a northbound Amtrak train at the Croydon Station in Bucks County, according to Sgt. Chuck Burns, Bristol Township Police.

The incident happened at 1:31 p.m. and caused both Septa and Amtrak's Keystone service to be halted or delayed between Philadelphia and Trenton until just before 4 p.m., accorind to Amtrak officials.

Amtrak said 85 people were on the train that was headed from Harrisburg to New York at the time of the incident.

Police offered no further details.
