Police are investigating the Sunday-morning shooting deaths of two people in South Philadelphia.
It happened around 9:30 a.m. in a home on the 2400 block of South Hutchinson Street, near 10th Street.
Police said the victims, a man and woman in their 20s, suffered gunshot wounds to the head and were pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers recovered a weapon and were looking for two men who ran off.
By midafternoon, a patrol car remained on the scene, guarding a white Honda believed to be related to the crime.
Joe Ketler, 49, who lives next door, said the victims were a couple who moved into a single-family rental about eight months ago.
Ketler has lived on the block for three years and said he often saw the female victim and found her friendly. "It's just a shock right now," he said, "We just want to know what happened."
