The bulk of the outages occurred in Chester County, where Peco reported 82,000 homes and businesses were without electric service as of 11:30 p.m. About 43,000 lacked power in Delaware County, 31,000 in Montgomery County, 17,000 in Philadelphia, and 35,000 in Bucks, the utility said.

More than two dozen outages were reported in South Jersey, PSE&G said, with more than 27,000 homes and businesses in the dark. About 11,500 customers in Camden County were without power, as were 3,400 in Gloucester County and 12,900 in Burlington County.

SEPTA was reporting delays and cancellations on its Regional Rail lines. Service on the Paoli, Chestnut Hill East, Fox Chase, and Airport lines was suspended, the transit agency said. Amtrak reported delays on its Keystone Line. - Inquirer staff
