Voorhees man charged in car burglaries

CHERRY HILL A Voorhees man was charged Friday in connection with a series of car burglaries.

Anthony Divietro, 29, of Sussex Drive, broke into a Jeep in the 1900 block of Country Club Drive around 3:55 a.m., police said. Officers who responded after a woman saw someone running from the car arrested Divietro outside the Holly Ravine Shopping Center, and found him with a stolen iPod and a bag of loose change, police said.

Divietro is believed to be the suspect in dozens of other car break-ins, police said. He was charged with burglary and taken to the Camden County Jail on a $50,000 bail.
