West Chester University debaters are second in Ivy competition


WCU is second in Ivy competition

WEST CHESTER The West Chester University Forensics Speech and Debate Team finished second overall and featured the top three overall speakers at last weekend's Ivy League tournament at the University of Pennsylvania.

Among the eight team members, senior DaQuann Chung earned first place as the overall speaker and won two other first-place finishes. Freshman Kellen Kane was second overall and collected two first-place finishes.

Junior Josh Shapiro finished third overall and had one first-place finish.

The team is scheduled to compete next at James Madison University on Saturday and Sunday.
