Water and sewer rates to rise for many county residents
DOYLESTOWN Water and sewer rates will rise by a little more than $2 this year for many Bucks County residents.
The Bucks County Water and Sewer Authority will increase rates by about 5 percent, raising the average monthly bill from $41.39 to $43.50. The increase is due to increasing costs for fuel and materials as well as for operating the authority.
The increase will also impact towns that buy wholesale service from the authority. Those towns are Bristol Township, Hulmeville, Langhorne Manor Borough, Lower Makefield, Newtown, Northampton, and Penndel.
