Motorcyclist killed in Parkside accident
A 27-year-old man was killed in an motorcycle accident in the city's Parkside section Thursday night, police said.
Shortly after 7 p.m., the man on the motorcycle was riding south on Belmont Avenue when he was struck by a red Dodge Durango going north and making a left turn onto Parkside Avenue, police said.
A medic unit transported the motorcycle rider to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he later died, police said. The accident is under investigation.
