2 jailed in alleged Mount Laurel rape

Two men in Mount Laurel, Burlington County, were arrested for allegedly kidnapping an 18-year-old woman and sexually assaulting her in a Mount Laurel hotel room Dec. 8.

Two men in Mount Laurel, Burlington County, were arrested for allegedly kidnapping an 18-year-old woman and sexually assaulting her in a Mount Laurel hotel room Dec. 8.

Iric Cohen, 42, and Richard Hughes, 43, who both live on the unit block of Forest Court, were arrested Wednesday for allegedly raping the woman in a hotel room on Fellowship Road near I-295, police said.

The men allegedly kidnapped the woman, whom they knew as an acquaintance, and attacked her after she was physically incapacitated, police said.

Cohen and Hughes were taken to the Burlington County Jail, and are being held on $400,000 bail each.

The men face charges of aggravated sexual assault, kidnapping and conspiracy.

Police are still investigating the incident, and expect to file additional charges against the men, Mount Laurel Police Chief Dennis Cribben Jr. said.
