One killed, another injured in Chester County crash

A two car accident Friday in Chester County has left one driver dead, another hospitalized, and shut down Rt. 202 for more than five hours.

The accident occurred at 10:21 a.m., near Boot Road and Rt. 30 Bypass.

Two vehicles - an SUV and a pickup truck - both going northbound were involved in a collision. The driver of the pickup truck, a 54-year-old man from Delaware, was ejected from the vehicle. He later died at Paoli Hospital. The SUV traveled across the median and into the southbound lane. The driver, a 21-year-old Hatboro woman, was hospitalized with non-lifethreatening injuries, according to Det. Scott Pezick, West Whiteland Police.

He said the accident remains under investigation.
