A Delaware County man, arrested this summer in connection with one homicide, has been charged with the murder of two more Chester men, the district attorney's office announced Thursday.

On Sept. 20, 2009 James Armstrong, of the 700 block of Jeffery Street, Chester, was charged with first degree murder and related crimes in both deaths.

Armstrong was identified by witnesses who said he allegedly shot and killed Felix Pizarro, 19, as he played basketball near Caldwell Street. Four others were wounded.

On May 5, 2010, witnesses said Armstrong allegedly chased Larry Carter into an alley before shooting him. Another man was wounded at the time.

In August, Armstrong and Rashad Ishmail, 30, were charged with murder in connection with the 2007 death of Eric Caldwell. Caldwell was found shot numerous times. Police suspected the incident may have begun at a nearby bar. Armstrong is currently in custody awaiting trial.
