Toddler and 17-year-old shot in Kensington drive-by

A toddler is in stable condition and a 17-year-old male is critical after gunshots erupted in the city's Kensington section, police said.

Police said shots rang out at 4:06 p.m. on the 2100 block of East Orleans Street as three men inside a green minivan opened fire.

The 1-year-old boy was hit twice, once in each shoulder. He was taken to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, police said.

The teenager, shot once in the head, was taken to Temple University Hospital.
