The Delaware County pizza shop owner who allegedly tried to infest his competitors' restaurants with mice, was arraigned in court Tuesday morning.

Nickolas Galiatsatos, 47, owner of Nina's Bella Pizzaria in Upper Darby, was released on $10,000 unsecured bail, according to Michael Chitwood, superintendent of police. Galiatsatos is facing charges that include criminal mischief, harassment, and cruelty to animals.

A man who answered the phone at Galiatsatos's Bryn Mawr apartment said he was not there and hung up.

Workers at Nina's said they were told not to make any comments about the incidents.

On Wednesday, Galiatsatos allegedly tried to slip bags of mice into two nearby pizza shops - Verona Pizza and Uncle Nick's Pizza. The three restaurants are all within blocks of each other on West Chester Pike.

Chitwood said Monday that Galiatsatos's pizza shop was struggling and he put mice in the other shops because he thought they infested his shop with vermin.
