4 killed in separate Philadelphia shootings

Four men were killed Sunday in separate shootings across Philadelphia, police said.

A 30-year-old man was shot multiple times in the head shortly before 12:30 a.m. in the 2900 block of Turner Street in the city's Brewerytown section, said Officer Jillian Russell, a police spokeswoman. He was pronounced dead at Hahnemann University Hospital about 12:46 a.m., Russell said.

Minutes later, police were called to a shooting in the 5500 block of Hill Creek Drive in the Northeast, where a 29-year-old man had been shot once in the head shortly before 1 a.m., Russell said. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

A third victim, a 19-year-old man, was shot twice in the head and four times in the chest shortly after 3 p.m. in the 900 block of Master Street in North Philadelphia, police said. He was pronounced dead about 30 minutes later at Hahnemann, authorities said.

At 3:46 p.m., police received a report of a shooting in the 1000 block of South 54th Street in the Kingsessing neighborhood. A man, 44, was found inside a residence, shot in the back of the head, Russell said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The identities of the four victims were unavailable. No arrests had been reported Sunday night.
