Man critically wounded in daylight Kensington shooting

A 29-year-old man was shot and critically wounded today on a street in Kensington, police said.

The victim, not immediately identified, was shot numerous times in the torso shortly before noon on Bellmore Avenue near Amber Street, according to initial police reports.

Medics took him to Temple University Hospital in extremely critical condition.

Police are seeking a possible motive and a suspect.
