Teen slain in Logan

An 18-year-old Logan man was gunned down about a block from his home last night, according to police.

Shannon Clayton, of the 5000 block of North 12th Street, was found shot at 9:14 p.m. in the 1200 block of Rockland Street, police said.

Shot in the back, he was taken to Albert Einstein Memorial Hospital, where was pronounced dead at 9:42 p.m.

The slaying brings the city's homicide count for the year to 265, up from 251 at the same time a year ago.
