Man charged in Center City groping spree

Police arrested and charged a North Philadelphia man with indecently assaulting two woman during a groping spree in Center City Monday night.

Johnathan Acevedo, 23, faces charges in two other incidents and police are asking other possible victims to come forward.

Police said officers responded to the 1000 block of Walnut Street about 8:15 p.m. and took reports of four indecent assaults that took place over a short period of time in the area.

Armed with a description, police arrested Acevedo on the 1200 block of Arch Street.

Acevedo, of the 600 block of West Dauphin Street, has been charged with two counts each of simple assault and indecent assault.

Police are withholding his mug shot while they wait to hear from other possible victims.
