Woman raped, stabbed in Port Richmond

A 41-year-old woman was raped and stabbed Tuesday night in the city's Port Richmond section, police said.

A 41-year-old woman was raped and stabbed Tuesday night in the city's Port Richmond section, police said.

Police responded at 9:37 p.m. to the assault in the 3300 block of Tulip Street near Allegehny Avenue, said Lt. Frank Vanore. The victim was stabbed in the chest and other parts of her body.

She was transported by a medic unit to Temple University Hospital and was listed in stable condition, Vanore said. No arrest was reported.
