Burlington-Bristol Bridge closed to traffic

The Burlington-Bristol Bridge remains closed in both directions following a two-car accident early this afternoon, a spokeswoman for the Burlington County Bridge Commission said.

Vehicles traveling in opposite directions collided shortly before 1:30 p.m., according to spokeswoman Liz Verna. One person was flown to Helene Fuld Medical Center in Trenton, authorities said.

The accident was a collision with entrapment at the middle of the two-lane span, according to Burlington County Central Communications.
