Man charged in killing of S.W. Phila. woman, 45

A 37-year-old man has been arrested and charged in the stabbing death of a woman early Monday in Southwest Philadelphia, police said today.

A 37-year-old man has been arrested and charged in the stabbing death of a woman early Monday in Southwest Philadelphia, police said today.

Charged with murder is James Joshua Stokes, of the 1200 block of South Peach Street in Kingsessing.

Police said he stabbed Stephanie Clory, 45, in the face, chest and back following an argument in Stokes' home.

Clory, who lived nearby on the 5400 block of Regent Street, stumbled out of the house and collapsed on the street, where police found her at 12:02 a.m. Monday.

Medics pronounced her dead at 12:06 a.m.

Homicide detectives arrested and charged Stokes on Monday.
