Police need help to ID beating victim

Police need the public's help in identifying an Hispanic man who was hospitalized in serious condition after being beaten in Northeast Philadelphia Saturday monring.

Police need the public's help in identifying an Hispanic man who was hospitalized in serious condition after being beaten in Northeast Philadelphia Saturday monring.

At 7:27 a.m., witnesses contacted police to report that an Hispanic man was beating another Hispanic man in the parking lot of the Tower Plaza Shopping Center in the 4600 block of Roosevelt Boulevard. The unidentified man suffered a head unjury when he fell.

The man, who remains at Albert Einstein Medical Center after having surgery, may be named Javier, police said. He had no identification on him.

Police released a photograph of the man and described him as approximately 30 years old, 5-feet 8-inches tall, with a husky build, light complexion, black spiked hair, and wearing blue jeans and brown boots.
