Girl shot in eye

A 13-year-old girl was shot in the eye, possibly with a BB gun, by a 14-year-old boy early Wednesday evening in North Philadelphia, police said.

A 13-year-old girl was shot in the eye, possibly with a BB gun, by a 14-year-old boy early Wednesday evening in North Philadelphia, police said.

The shooting was reported at 6:19 p.m. in the 3200 block of North 29th Street near Allegheny Avenue, police said. The girl was taken by a medic unit to Temple University Hospital, where her condition was not immediately known.

A medic radio report said the girl may have lost her left eye. Police were searching for the shooter.
