Police probe thefts at 3 churches in Del.

Delaware state police are investigating a string of thefts during which air-conditioning units valued at nearly $11,000 have been stolen from three churches in Kent County.

Delaware state police are investigating a string of thefts during which air-conditioning units valued at nearly $11,000 have been stolen from three churches in Kent County.

One church - Delaware Christian Fellowship on Meyers Drive in Hartly - has been hit twice, on June 22 and June 30, police said.

Eight air conditioner units have been stolen from the churches, police said in a statement.

Also targeted were Solid Rock Church, on Hazlettville Road in Dover, on June 22; and New Hope United Holy Church, on Judith Road in Hartly, on June 20.
